Notice on the Recommendation and Selection of National Government-funded Chinese Teachers in 2022
All units and schools,
According to the Notice of Hebei Province Chinese Language International Promotion Office on Organizing the Recommendation of Candidates for Teachers Sent Abroad by the State in 2022, the recommendation and selection of national government-funded teachers sent abroad by the State has been started in 2022. Teachers who meet the job requirements, have both capability and political integrity, and are physically and mentally healthy will be selected from universities, and middle and primary schools in accordance with the principle of “individual application, unit recommendation, unified examination, and merit-based admission”. We hereby notify the staff of our University of the specific matters of registration as follows:
I. Job requirements
For specific requirements, please visit http://pmplatform.chinese.cn.The tenure of each teacher is generally 2 academic years (at least 20 months).
II. Application conditions
1. Be law-abiding and exemplary, and have team spirit.
2. Generally being at the age of 25-55 (inclusive), and physically and mentally healthy. The age of teachers with professional background in non-English languages such as Russian, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic may be appropriately expanded to 58 years old (inclusive).
3. Holding bachelor degree or above, majoring in Humanities and social sciences such as Chinese international education, Chinese, foreign language and education, with professional background meeting job requirements.
4. Teachers from domestic universities, middle schools, primary schools and related educational institutions with teaching experience of 2 academic years or above.
5. Putonghua of up to the level of Grade IIA or above, able to skillfully use foreign languages.
6. For some posts, the specific requirements of such posts shall be met.
III. Application method
Applicant may visit http://pmplatform.chinese.cn to check the details of the post, and submit a personal written application to the International Exchange and Cooperation Center, including the basic information of the individual, graduation date and years serving the University, specialty studied, position applied, term of office, Putonghua and foreign language competence. After the unit deliberates and approves it, and the leader of the unit affixes the signature and official seal, the application, together with the letter of recommendation issued by the unit (mainly including the evaluation of their ideological and moral character, teaching capability and physical and mental health), shall be submitted to the International Exchange and Cooperation Center before 11:00 am on June 9, 2022. The International Exchange and Cooperation Center shall collect the applications and then report to the University for deliberation.
IV. Material submission
After the University approve the applications after deliberation, the applicant teachers will be notified to register online.The teachers shall fill in and print the Application Form for Teachers Sent Abroad by the State (hereinafter referred to as the Application Form) online, prepare relevant annexes according to the requirements of the Application Form, and submit to the International Exchange and Cooperation Center before 10:00 am on June 13, 2022. After the materials are reviewed and approved, the International Exchange and Cooperation Center shall submit them to the Provincial Department of Education for review.
V. Selection exam
Teachers who have passed the review of the Provincial Department of Education shall participate in the selection exam uniformly organized by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education (hereinafter referred to as the “CLEC”).The exam is held in the form of interview, which mainly tests professional knowledge, teaching skills, cross-cultural capability, foreign language competency and psychological quality.The exam is tentatively scheduled in mid-July 2022. The specific arrangement will be further notified by CLEC through e-mail, telephone, etc.
VI. Admission training
According to the results of the selection exam and the job requirements, CLEC shall determine the personnel admitted. The admitted teachers shall receive the relevant training organized by CLEC. After passing the training and assessment, they shall be dispatched. The specific arrangements shall be notified separately.
VII. Dispatch treatment
The treatment of teachers sent abroad by the State shall be subject to the Regulations for the Management of the Living Treatment of Teachers Sent Abroad by the State (Cai Jiao  No. 194) issued by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education.
